
CALL FOR PROPOSAL
Joint programm of activities – 3 rd CYCLE
PROJECTS PROPOSED TO THE CENTAURE FOUNDATION HAVE TO BE IN LINE WITH THE GOALS OF ITS SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM. PROJECTS MUST ASSOCIATE A MEMBER OF ONE OF THE CORE TEAMS AND MUST TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:
- Study of the mechanisms of allograft tolerance in experimental models and in humans
- Understanding and dissecting the causes of late graft loss
- Transplantation in the diabetic patients including combined kidney/pancreas transplants, isolated pancreas transplants and Islet of Langerhans transplants
- Development of the 1st European validated data bank for transplantation
- Projects concerning new frontiers in transplantation: composite tissue transplantation, xenotransplantation, development of new immunosuppressive molecules …
- To foster relationships with biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical companies in the field of transplantation
- To develop the teaching of transplantation sciences
ONE OF THE 5 THEMATIC FIELDS LISTED BELOW:
- The DIVAT Network:European validated data bank for transplantation
- Biomarkers
- Immunointervention
- Mechanistic studies on host to graft, immune response
- Miscellaneous (diabetes, allotransplantation and xenotransplanation...)
TYPE OF HELP AND CONDITIONS:
- The foundation grants functioning funds for implementing the study
- The foundation will directly take into account the various positions salaries related to the project. Recruitment will be based on the salary chart of the foundation.
- Projects fitting within laws related to individual welfare and taking part in biomedical studies will only be financed if the individual welfare committee agrees and if the study is permitted. The foundation cannot be considered as a sponsor for biomedical research.
- Projects already supported by the Foundation can be renewed. Investigators have the possibility to present progress report of previous projects.
- According to the rules described in the application form (please refer to the letter of intention), each project must describe precisely the research project and its methodology, the team experience, research location and collaborations and must detail the required budget.
